Conversation
Lena, Mon. Asked for a quote.
A rule or a teammate gives it an owner, and the owner gets an email with the conversation.
Reply from Requests and you're told first if a teammate has it, is replying, or just answered.
Email posted to a Slack channel keeps its thread. Claim it there and it's yours in Requests too.
Write who handles what the way you'd brief a new hire: quotes go to Dana, refunds over $200 go to Maya. The first rule that fits assigns the request, and anything no rule fits goes to the person you pick.
Assignment rules
Requests shows each conversation with its owner's name and picture. Look at your own, a teammate's, or the ones nobody has yet. Anything left without an owner too long is flagged.
Before Requests opens a reply in Gmail or Outlook, it checks whether the request is someone else's, whether a teammate is replying right now, and whether someone answered in the last 15 minutes.
Dana is replying.
Reply anyway?
When email goes to a Slack channel, Claim, 👀, "on it" or the first reply in the thread makes that person the owner. Assign it in Requests and the post shows who has it.

Dana Reyes on it
When the customer writes again, the request comes back to the same person, and so does their next request in that conversation.
